The Polish Insurance Association (PIA) is a local trade organization representing all insurance companies operating in Poland. The main tasks of the PIA are to support the legislature in establishing law. The Association also leads activities to increase public awareness of insurance and to pursue a multilateral dialogue on the development of the insurance sector in our country. The Polish Insurance Association was established in 1990.
The main objectives of the Polish Insurance Association include:
- Building a strong insurance community
- Supporting the development of a rational system of law governing insurance services in Poland
- Activity in the framework of international insurance structures
- Exchange of information and integration of the insurance environment
- Cooperation with the financial supervision and insurance institutions
- Education on insurance
- Building prestige and confidence in insurance services in Poland.
