T-Mobile Poland – one of the largest mobile operators in Poland – has launched a new insurance service called Basic Device Insurance. The premium is PLN 8.50 a month and insurance cover is up to PLN 1,000. The service is door-to-door, with a courier picking up smartphones or other devices for repair, which takes up to five working days.
In between, the customer is offered a courtesy device. T-Mobile offers the service in cooperation with AmTrust International Underwriters and the administrator of the programme Digital Care.
AmTrust International Underwriters specialises in insurance of mobile devices. Digital Care is responsible for damage claims and customer service.
