On 11 April 2018 PZU sold the first insurance policy on the Allegro website. The insurance protection is offered as an extension of the guarantee term of household appliances. The insurer wants to extend its offer by launching new insurance products and existing range of protected goods.
In January 2018 during PZU’s new strategy presentation Małgorzata Sadurska, the PZU board member responsible for bancassurance and affinity, announced new strategy partnerships signed with PLL LOT and Allegro.
PZU’s offer entails a guarantee extension on chosen household appliances. An Allegro user while purchasing a product can choose additional protection and its scope. The insurance covers such risks as equipment failures, damage, flooding and thefts. The insurance policy is sent to the user e-mail with additional information about the insurance and the necessary documents.
Sadurska announced that in May the next range of services are going to be implemented. As she said, other products can be additionally insured and PZU is also going to offer Allegro users other kinds of insurance.
Allegro is an online purchase platform. They have around 20 mln users.
