Paweł Surówka is PZU Life’s new CEO

The supervisory board of PZU SA Life insurance adopted a resolution unanimously appointing Paweł Surówka to the CEO position of PZU Life insurance on 23 June 2016. The supervisory board of PZU SA Life insurance recalled unanimously Beata Kozlowska-Chyła and Sebastian Klimek from the PZU SA board.

Paweł Surówka was a financial adviser in the Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the years 2007-2013. He represented the bank in the CEE region by building up investor relations. He advised on portfolio management, asset allocation and their diversification, alternative instruments and market analyses.

He was a board member of Boryszew SA and was Development Office Director in the company’s automotive sector from 2013- to 2015. In Boryszew he was responsible for strategic and operational management and also controlled the budgetary policy in the company. His duty was the preparation and implementation of business strategy for the automotive sector. Moreover, he was liable for mergers and acquisitions within the framework of expansive politics. He also carried out restructuring processes in automotive companies. 

In 2015 he was an adviser to the PKO Bank Polski CEO and the Director of Corporate and Investing Banking. He was responsible for opening the first foreign corporate division of PKO Bank Polski. He also advised and supported the biggest corporate clients of PKO Bank Polski in the scope of their expansion and foreign business activity.

The PZU board notified that Dariusz Krzewina submitted his resignation as a PZU SA board member on 23 June 2016.
