In response to a parliamentary question on the temporary de-registration of a vehicle, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Construction reported that it intends to support the proposal to extend the possibility of a temporary de-registration of vehicles on all vehicles subject to registration in Poland.
As a result of an amendment to the Act on Road Traffic, as of 1997 a temporary de-registration of the vehicle is no longer allowed. Holders of vehicles that are not used still have the obligation to take out MTPL insurance.
