On 15 January 2019 the Polish Financial Supervision Authority launched an electronic form to submit applications to the insurance agents register. The new system runs in accordance with the Act on insurance distribution, which regulates that the register has to be run by the financial watchdog online.
As KNF explained, the new system allows online registration of all kinds of insurance distributors, using KNF’s website. The rules of the new system to submit applications as well as maintaining the register were determined in the Financial Minister’s regulations which came into force on 15 January 2019.
