Insurers will pay contributions accounting for 0.2% of their gross written premiums to a new Support Fund. Both domestic and foreign insurance companies which run their business in Poland will be obliged to pay a fee.
The institution will be run by the Polish Insurance Guarantee Fund (UFG). Its aim is to grant repayable support to troubled insurers, according to the impact study of a draft regulation introducing the fund.
