The Financial Ombudsman (FO) Aleksandra Wiktorow has presented a proposal to resolve the problem of underestimating compensation for MTPL insurance. In the FO’s opinion the value of damage estimated by an insurer will be verified by an independent appraiser.
“We want to improve the quality of claim settlement for MTPL insurance and guarantee that Polish citizens will obtain compensation without a long and expensive trial” – Aleksander Daszewski from the Financial Ombudsman’s Bureau explained.
