The Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) has published a communiqué in which the watchdog informed about a temporary suspension of submitting applications to the insurance agents register. The suspension started on 24 December 2018.
As KNF explained, the special application servicing the register only allows an application to be filled in without the possibility of its transfer to KNF’s electronic system. This possibility will be restored on 15th January 2019, when the Financial Ministry’s regulation on this issue comes into force.
The system will then start to operate in accordance with new rules, which were defined in the new Act on insurance distribution. Submitting applications will be held in electronic form available on KNF’s website.
