The Polish Finance Ministry wants institutions running employer-sponsored pension plans (PPK) to pay PLN 0.18 per account monthly to state development fund PFR. The fee is for maintenance of the system register. It derives from a draft regulation prepared by the ministry.
„The size of the fee is calculated as a multiple of PLN 0.18 and the number of PPK accounts” run by a given investment fund house, pension house or life insurer on the last day of the month, the regulation shows.
According to the PPK act, financial institutions will have to pay to PFR a monthly fee for maintenance of the system register, with the total annual payment capped at 0.01% of net asset value, from 1 July 2022. The exact level of the fee will be set in a Finance Ministry regulation.
