The Ministry of Finance has presented a proposal for tax changes. The changes submitted for consultation on Thursday, March 24, are expected to enter into force from 2023, but will apply retroactively from July 1, 2022.
The Ministry of Finance proposes to reduce the PIT rate from 17 to 12 percent for taxpayers on the tax scale, i.e. pensioners, full time and temporary employees and certain entrepreneurs. This solution will thus apply to 25 million people.
The tax threshold will remain unchanged, i. e. PLN 120 thousand. In the same way PLN 30 thousand will remain tax-free.
