Mondial Assistance has published a ranking of the most expensive medical interventions which the firm noticed in 2017.
The most expensive was an intervention on Mallorca. An insured person was taken ill suddenly with brain aneurysm. He was hospitalized, operated and transported to Poland. The intervention amount was more than PLN 680,000.
Help was also given to a tourist in the USA who fell in with sepsis. The value of the treatment was PLN 317,000. Additionally PLN 311,000 was paid for a patient with a brain tumour diagnosed and transported from Kenya.
Mondial Assistance paid around PLN 300,000 for medical help in Peru after a heart attack and in the USA after a stroke.
