60% of Poles who buy health insurance come from smaller towns. Such insurance is most often (41%) chosen by young people between 21 and 30 years of age – according to an analysis of Punkta’s multiagency.
Consumers buy health insurance primarily to avoid queues, reduce waiting time for appointments and savings. Registering on your own for private visits is often expensive – from 150 or 200 PLN for one visit with additional costs for examinations. One-off health problems may amount to even several hundred zlotys.
