On 6 December 2016 a draft law (the draft Act on insurance distribution) aimed at implementing the IDD has been published and sent out for governmental and public consultations. Both governmental and non-governmental entities – addressees of the draft law are entitled to express reservations to the draft law until 5 January 2017. On January 19, 2017 there is a conference (stakeholders meeting) planned to agree the final content of the law.
The final law aimed at implementing the IDD is expected to adopted by the Council of Ministers by the second quarter of 2017. The date of adoption of the final law by the Parliament is not yet determined, however the draft law provides that, as a rule, it shall enter into force on 23 February 2018.
