The President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) initiated proceedings against PZU for the campaign „Holidays with PZU Safe Child”.
The subject of the proceedings is PZU’s service and its regulations regarding the collection of clients and potential clients’ consent to process their data for the marketing purposes of the companies that belong to the PZU Group. Granting this consent by a parent or legal guardian was a prerequisite for getting free child insurance.
In addition, the proceedings also applies to informing persons whose data have been obtained for marketing purposes about the possibility of withdrawing their consent for data processing for a particular purpose.
