After 9 months of 2019 Polish insurers increased net earnings in the life segment by 4.9% y/y and by 6.2% in the non-life segment, according to a report prepared by sector lobby – PIU.
Premium collection is down over 3% y/y in life, but the technical result on insurance rose on a hefty decline in claims in the segment. On the other hand, claims in the non-life insurance segment were up due to extreme weather events.
