Marek Niechciał was appointed by the Insurance Guarantee Fund Council as a member of the management board of the Insurance Guarantee Fund on 20 December 2019. For this reason, he resigned from his current function, which was accepted by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki on 23 December.
In accordance with the provisions of the Act on Competition and Consumer Protection, Marek Niechciał is acting President until his successor is appointed.
Niechciał was President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection since 2016. He also held this function in 2007-2008.
In the Insurance Guarantee Fund he will be responsible for the implementation of warranty functions for both the insurance and tourism sectors.
