The Insurance Guarantee Fund (UFG) has published its results after Q1 2019. According to the data, insurance companies in Poland noted a lower level of gross written premium in the MTPL insurance sector.
As UFG’s report shows, in Q1 2019 insurers received PLN 43 mln less GPW than a year before. The significant drop of GPW concerned foreign insurance companies which earned PLN 97 mln, less by 19% (PLN 23 mln; y/y), whereas Polish companies received PLN 3,639 mln in Q1 2019.
Currently the market share of foreign insurers in the Polish MTPL sector amounts to 2.6%.
