Krzysztof Kozlowski, the newcomer to the management board, previously served as the secretary of state in the Ministry of the Interior and Administration.
Pekao also took resignation from deputy CEO Marcin Gadomski, who will still remain the bank's employee.
Pekao also appointed Grzegorz Janas as the new chairman of the bank's supervisory board, the lender said in a separate filing. The position was recently vacated by Paweł Surówka, insurer PZU's ex-CEO, who stepped down on April 16.
